The Badgers are looking at multiple options in the transfer portal.
The Wisconsin Badgers are in the market for a transfer quarterback and seem to have their eyes on a number of options already.
One of those is a fellow Big Ten quarterback, as they’re set to host Maryland Terrapins transfer quarterback Billy Edwards Jr. on an official visit this weekend, according to multiple reports.
Edwards Jr., a junior this past season, was a first-time starter, replacing Taulia Tagovailoa, and threw for 2,881 yards, 15 touchdowns, and nine interceptions, while adding another five scores on the ground.
He is set to visit Wisconsin this weekend before heading to Michigan next weekend.
The Badgers are also hosting San Diego State transfer quarterback Danny O’Neil on a visit this weekend. The true freshman was a full-time starter for the Aztecs this season and would be another underclassman in Wisconsin’s quarterback room.
Wisconsin will likely add a quarterback from the transfer portal for the third consecutive season, and Edwards could be a competitor for the team’s starting job in 2025 should he choose to commit to the program.
