The Badgers could get a package duo of talented brothers soon in Madison.
The Wisconsin Badgers made a splash at cornerback this week, landing Jacksonville State’s Geimere Latimer II in the transfer portal to bolster the position.
Latimer, a 5’10, 190-pound defensive back, was a starter for Jacksonville State this past season, earning All-Conference USA honors while recording 46 tackles, five pass breakups, and three interceptions for Jacksonville State as a sophomore.
He now joins a room that returns just three cornerbacks in 2025, as the Badgers have just Ricardo Hallman, Jay Harper, and Omillio Agard coming back next season.
Latimer provides depth and experience in the room, but he also could be a big addition for other reasons on the recruiting trail.
Looking at the 2026 recruiting class, the Wisconsin Badgers have begun to line up their top targets, with running back being a priority position after the team took zero backs in the 2025 class.
Near the top of Wisconsin’s wish list is four-star running back Amari Latimer, who happens to be the younger brother of Geimere.
The younger Latimer has earned 26 offers as a junior in high school, including from a bevy of top SEC and Big Ten schools. The running back does have an early crystal ball to the Texas Longhorns, but it’ll be tough to ignore the recent connection for the Badgers, especially given they were already recruiting the four-star hard before landing his brother.
Could the duo be a major package for Wisconsin?
