Looking back at the snap counts from Wisconsin’s 42-10 loss to the Iowa Hawkeyes, the Badgers had some changes due to injuries.
Offensively, it was much of the same, as the Badgers had their normal group of skill position players seeing time, with Tawee Walker getting a majority of the workload at running back (43 snaps), while Darrion Dupree got the remainder (15 snaps). Once again, reserve Cade Yacamelli did not see the field on offense.
At receiver, the Badgers were without starter Bryson Green yet again, leading to Vinny Anthony and C.J. Williams being the top wideouts once again, while Quincy Burroughs was the lead reserve on the outside.
Defensively, with starting linebacker Jaheim Thomas limited, Christian Alliegro got a significant workload, playing 59 of the 66 defensive snaps, while Jake Chaney played 56 at the other linebacker spot.
Xavier Lucas saw just three defensive snaps against Iowa, which meant a heavy workload once again for starters Ricardo Hallman (66 snaps) and Nyzier Fourqurean (65 snaps).
Along the defensive line, Ben Barten led the way with 51 snaps, as a majority came in rushing situations, while Elijah Hills (46 snaps) and Curt Neal (43 snaps) held their regular roles.
Of the reserves, outside linebacker Sebastian Cheeks saw his workload cut, getting just four snaps in the loss, while John Pius saw his grow with 24 snaps on the day.
Max Lofy did not play in the game, while nickel cornerback Austin Brown saw just 29 snaps on a day that the Badgers had to play more with heavier personnel to combat Iowa’s run game.
