The Badgers are actively showing interest in a freshman cornerback in the transfer portal.
The Wisconsin Badgers have extended an offer to another transfer portal cornerback, as they gave out an offer to William & Mary freshman Sascha Garcia, he announced on Sunday.

Garcia, a 6’2, 185-pound cornerback, recorded 19 tackles and an impressive 11 pass breakups in 2024 as a redshirt freshman, earning All-American honors.
Garcia had reported offers from Cincinnati, Western Kentucky, Maryland, Eastern Carolina, Utah State, Sacramento State, UMass, and Akron before getting his offer from Wisconsin.
The Badgers have a major need for cornerbacks, as they’ve lost quite a few to the transfer portal this offseason. Thus far, Amare Snowden, Jonas Duclona, Jace Arnold, and Max Lofy have departed via the portal, while Nyzier Fourqurean and RJ Delancy are out of eligibility.
As a result, Wisconsin returns just three cornerbacks from a season ago, and that’s assuming Ricardo Hallman comes back for a final year, joining freshmen Jay Harper and Omillio Agard.
The Badgers did pick up a commitment from Jacksonville State transfer Geimere Latimer to boost their depth and experience at the position, but they still need more numbers in the room.
That’s where Garcia comes in, as the redshirt freshman still has three years left in the transfer portal, and could be a nice addition for Wisconsin at the boundary position, where there aren’t really many options at the moment.
