The Badgers are offering one of the most talented quarterbacks in the junior class.
The Wisconsin Badgers have extended an offer to 2027 four-star quarterback Trae Taylor, he announced on Friday.

Taylor, an Illinois native, had camped with the Badgers earlier in the summer and was the most talented quarterback to attend any of the sessions back in June.
One of the top rising juniors in the country, the quarterback has blown up on the recruiting trail, landing offers from Colorado, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Ole Miss, Ohio State, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and Notre Dame, among others.
Taylor had taken a bevy of visits to schools this fall, but the Badgers weren’t one of those schools.
A Top-35 recruit in the rising junior class, Taylor is the fourth quarterback that Wisconsin has offered in the 2027 class, joining four-stars Colton Nussmeier and Trent Seaborn, as well as Teddy Jarrard.
Standing 6’3, 180 pounds, Taylor was very impressive in the summer, as he had great touch on his throws, as well as good accuracy to pair with a good frame and good arm strength for his age.
While the Badgers brought in a number of quarterbacks to camp this summer, Taylor was the clear standout of the group, which made it no surprise that he blew up on the recruiting trail this year.
“I feel like I did really good today as far as accuracy and, you know, putting the ball where it needed to be,” Taylor shared after the camp in June. “I didn’t really want to prove anything. It was more so just coming out here to showcase.”
“I just want to see everything kind of one more time before I start to narrow down what I’m looking at as far as schools that have interest in me or I’m interested in. And, you know, [Wisconsin] is a school that I’ve been to before, so I just want to come here one more time, see how the coaches really treated me and thought about me and, you know, go from there.”
The fact that the Badgers hadn’t offered the four-star before Friday is a sign of where they currently stand in his recruitment, but this offer is a notable one for Wisconsin as they begin to connect with the 2027 class.
