What are the biggest questions for the Badgers with the transfer portal?
To say that it hasn’t been a busy two weeks for the Wisconsin Badgers would be an understatement, as the program has dealt with a massive amount of movement in the transfer portal both in and out.
Wisconsin has seen 25 players transfer out of the program, including key players such as Will Pauling, James Thompson Jr., and Xavier Lucas, prompting them to be heavy players in the portal over the past two weeks.
As a result, they’ve landed 12 commitments from the portal, including two quarterbacks, addressing a number of key needs.
Still, there are a number of questions to answer as the Badgers navigate the next few weeks, as they still have some major holes on their roster, while still having to fill out a couple of spots on their coaching staff after hiring offensive coordinator Jeff Grimes.
On the basketball front, the Badgers bounced back from a three-game losing streak last weekend with an 83-74 victory over the Butler Bulldogs, although they still dropped out of the AP Top 25. They’ll look to finish off their non-conference schedule with a matchup on Sunday against Detroit Mercy at home before getting a near-two-week break.
Every week, I’m looking to do an AMA session, where everyone can ask whatever questions they have about the Badgers in the comments, and I’ll answer each and every one over the next 24 hours.
