Latimer, a sophomore this past season, had his breakout campaign, recording 46 tackles, five pass breakups, and three interceptions for Jacksonville State, en route to earning second-team All-Conference USA honors.
Standing at 5’10, 190 pounds, Latimer projects as a big addition for the Badgers, joining a group that has been completely decimated since the start of the offseason, with Ricardo Hallman, Jay Harper, and Omillio Agard being the lone returners at the position.
Wisconsin was in need of multiple additions, including a starter along the boundary, and they got a key pickup with Latimer, who decided to move on after Jacksonville State head coach Rich Rodriguez was hired at West Virginia.
Latimer was on campus this past weekend for an official visit before making his decision, ultimately siding with the Badgers rather than exploring other options.
The Badgers now have 16 commitments in the transfer portal and rank among the Top 10 teams with their pickups thus far.
