The Badgers looked to pick up some ground on a key visit this week.
The Wisconsin Badgers hosted 2026 three-star quarterback Travis Burgess on a multi-day unofficial visit this week, with the Georgia signal-caller coming in on Monday and leaving on Wednesday.
Burgess, a 6’5, 200-pound quarterback from the Peach State, has risen near the top of Wisconsin’s wish list at the position, as the Badgers look to potentially add multiple quarterbacks in the 2026 class.
Wisconsin has been active in a few recruitments at quarterback, but is pushing for Burgess, who currently has official visits set to the Badgers, Auburn Tigers, and the Duke Blue Devils for the summer.
Auburn has been the perceived favorite for much of Burgess’s recruitment, but Wisconsin was hoping to make up ground with the key unofficial visit this week before bringing the quarterback back for the second weekend of official visits.
The Badgers are also firmly in the mix for 2026 four-star quarterback Ryan Hopkins, with the Missouri Tigers serving as their top competition for the California signal-caller at the moment, and are in the Top 5 for four-star Brodie McWhorter.
But, Burgess is one of the top targets on the board for Wisconsin at the quarterback position, making this week’s visit a notable one as the Badgers pick up their 2026 recruiting.
