Wisconsin lost another player to the transfer portal on Wednesday.
The Wisconsin Badgers are losing another player to the transfer portal, as reserve forward Chris Hodges is heading elsewhere for his final year of eligibility.
A native of Schaumberg, Illinois, Hodges had committed to the program as a three-star in the Class of 2021, but never cracked the rotation during his four seasons with the Badgers.
He played in a total of 39 games, playing 68 career minutes and totaling four points, nine rebounds, and four blocks during his Badgers tenure.
He becomes the third Badgers player to enter the transfer portal this offseason, joining point guards Daniel Freitag and Camren Hunter. Freitag announced his decision on Monday, which was a major move as the four-star freshman had been with the program for just one season before transferring.
Hunter, on the other hand, didn’t have the impact he expected in his lone year in Madison, failing to crack the rotation after being one of three transfers in the 2024 offseason.
The Badgers are opening up more and more scholarship spots with the recent transfers, as they now have five open scholarship spots for the upcoming season, which could be put to use in the transfer portal.
