The Badgers know who they’ll be facing at home and on the road in 2025.
The Big Ten revealed every team’s conference home and away opponents for the 2025-26 season on Tuesday, as the Wisconsin Badgers will face 14 teams once and three teams twice.
Here are the opponents for the home games, away games, and the home + away games.
Home: Iowa, Maryland, Michigan State, Northwestern, Rutgers, UCLA, USC
Away: Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Nebraska, Oregon, Penn State, Washington
Home + Away: Minnesota, Ohio State, Purdue
Off the bat, the most notable part of the schedule is the fact that Wisconsin will have to face Purdue twice in 2025. Reloading with a big offseason, the Boilermakers are looking like the preseason No. 1 team, so that will be a tough part of the conference schedule.
Looking at the top home games, Michigan State and UCLA seem like the toughest ones on paper. The Spartans will look much different after losing Jase Richardson to the NBA Draft, while Jaden Akins, Frankie Fidler, Szymon Zapala, Xavier Booker, and Tre Holloman all won’t be on the team in 2025.
Still, a team coached by Tom Izzo is bound to be good, and the Spartans do have talent coming in via the transfer portal to bolster their roster. UCLA, on the other hand, splashed into the portal with New Mexico star Donovan Dent, and has strengthened its roster from a year ago.
On the road, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Oregon all figure to be some of the better teams in the Big Ten next year after their work in the transfer portal or with high school recruiting this offseason.
Overall, the Big Ten is looking like one of the better conferences in college basketball once again, and the Badgers should be firmly in that mix for 2025.
