Could the Badgers be a top-three seed in March Madness this year?
The Wisconsin Badgers have jumped up to No. 16 in the AP Top 25 after two quality wins this past week, beating the Indiana Hoosiers 76-64 at home and the Iowa Hawkeyes 74-63 on the road.
That has improved their record to 19-5 on the season, including 9-4 in conference play, while the Iowa win provided the Badgers with their seventh Quad 1 victory of the season.
Wisconsin has quietly built up one of the strongest resumes this season, leading to them being a No. 4 seed over the past few weeks in several Bracketology predictions.
However, could they be climbing up this week?
In their latest Bracketology prediction, JBR Bracketology moved the Badgers up to a No. 3 seed and the No. 12 overall seed in the field after their strong week of games.

-Now up to 18 JBR , in purple!
-Tennessee/ Florida EXTREMELY close, both teams have the exact same resume average. Went Tennessee due to slight edge in predictive metrics, the 8 versus 4 delta in Quad 1 wins and the NCSOS

The Badgers moved up two spots from the previous prediction, leaping Marquette and Texas Tech to earn the final spot on the No. 3 line.
Here, they rank second in the Big Ten behind Purdue, who has been entrenched as a No. 2 seed for quite some time while being over Michigan State (No. 4 seed), Michigan (No. 5 seed), Illinois (No. 6 seed) and others.
Quad 1 victories have very likely played a role here for the Badgers, as their seven Quad 1 wins are tied for third in the nation behind only Auburn and Tennessee.
Looking at the remainder of Wisconsin’s schedule, they still have Purdue and Michigan State on the road, which will both be Quad 1 opportunities. Additionally, they still have Illinois and Oregon at home, which could also be two more Quad 1 chances.
So, there will be more chances for the Badgers to bolster their resume, but a No. 3 seed would be extremely impressive for Wisconsin, and would likely need at least one win between Purdue and Michigan State to happen.
