The Badgers are coming off their bye week, which was after an ugly 42-10 loss to the Iowa Hawkeyes two weeks ago that dropped Wisconsin to 5-4 on the season.
Now, they get a chance to reset, but it comes with an even tougher challenge as they host the No. 1 Oregon Ducks in primetime this weekend, with kickoff set for 6:30 p.m. at Camp Randall Stadium.
Wisconsin is currently seen as 14-point underdogs in that one, as they’ll look to play spoiler and gain their bowl eligibility this weekend.
If that doesn’t happen, their next chance to do so would be against the Cornhuskers, who are also 5-4 and have struggled recently, dropping three straight, including a recent 27-20 loss at home to the UCLA Bruins.
The Freedom Trophy will be on the line in this matchup, and the Badgers have been dominant in this one, winning each of the last 10 matchups against Nebraska, but they’ll have to travel to Lincoln for this one after their home bout against Oregon.
