McWhorter, a native of Georgia, accumulated 30 offers during his recruitment, but is now down to the Colorado Buffaloes, Auburn Tigers, Indiana Hoosiers, Mississippi State Bulldogs, and the Badgers.
He’ll announce his decision on May 15th at his high school, ending a recruitment that has taken a few twists and turns.
The Badgers showed early interest in McWhorter, who was an early commit to West Virginia. But, after the Mountaineers fired head coach Neal Brown, the quarterback re-opened his recruitment and Wisconsin began to show interest again, with quarterbacks coach Kenny Guiton now serving as his main recruiter.
McWhorter has official visits planned to Indiana and Mississippi State, according to 247Sports, but those could be cancelled depending on where he ultimately commits to in May.
Wisconsin is looking at a number of quarterbacks in the 2026 class and could even take two if the cards fall right. McWhorter would be a strong addition to that group if the Badgers can push and win out for his commitment.
