The Badgers were supposed to get a top target on campus this weekend, but that won’t be happening.
The Wisconsin Badgers will miss out on one of their top targets in the 2025 class, as four-star forward Amari Allen committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide on Tuesday.

Allen, a big 6’7, 180-pound wing, had long been a target for head coach Greg Gard’s staff, as he took an unofficial visit this summer before earning an offer back in July.
He was scheduled for an official visit this weekend, coincidentally when the Badgers football team plays Alabama, but ultimately settled with the Crimson Tide.
Allen took an official visit to Alabama during the weekend of August 31st, and now becomes their first commit in the Class of 2025.
The four-star forward had changed high schools ahead of the 2024 season, moving from IMG Academy to Ashwaubenon High School in Green Bay, Wisconsin, now becoming a top-two player in the state for the 2025 class.
A Wisconsin native, Allen would’ve been the missing piece for the Badgers’ 2025 recruiting class, joining four-star guard Zach Kinziger, three-star center Will Garlock, and New Zealand guard Hayden Jones as the commits in the cycle.
Now, Wisconsin will focus their efforts elsewhere, as they look to land another piece in the 2025 class.
