One of Wisconsin’s former targets at defensive line has re-appeared on the board this week.
The Wisconsin Badgers have been quiet on the recruiting front with their 2025 class, which has been pretty much wrapped up since the summer when the team went on a tear and locked in over 20 total recruits in the cycle.
Currently, the Badgers have 23 commits in their upcoming recruiting class, which ranks 28th in the country according to 247Sports.
They managed to get a majority of their top recruits across a number of positions, which has put them in a good place heading into the latter part of the fall, with National Signing Day in less than two months.
However, Wisconsin may not be done just yet, as a target of theirs recently de-committed from another school.
2025 three-star defensive lineman Drayden Pavey had mentioned Wisconsin as a part of his top three when deciding on schools in the summer, but ultimately committed to the Purdue Boilermakers.
The Badgers went in a different direction, landing commitments from three-stars Torin Pettaway, Wilnerson Telemaque, and Xavier Ukponu to round out their defensive line room in the 2025 class.
But, with Pavey on the board, the Badgers could add an additional piece to shore up the interior defensive line spot and keep their options open, should they face any unexpected changes in the current room.
With another addition, Wisconsin could have two interior defensive linemen and two defensive ends in the class, rounding out the room evenly.
The Badgers do have a few other targets on their board that they’re likely still looking to flip, but it seems that one could come to fruition here in a realistic way with Pavey de-committing from the Boilermakers.
