The Badgers blew past the Huskies in a much-needed win on Tuesday.
That was fun.
The Wisconsin Badgers trounced the Washington Huskies 88-62. Wisconsin, undoubtedly fueled by their horrible collapse last Saturday, took out their anger on an overmatched Washington team. It was another stellar offensive game, as Wisconsin finished shooting 51.6 percent from the field in their blowout win. In addition, the Badgers outrebounded the Huskies 41-26, including a 13-7 edge in offensive rebounds.
With 6:09 left in the game, the Badgers extended their lead to 32 points over the Huskies. That big lead led to every Badger on the bench getting playing time on Tuesday.
The major theme we’ve heard since Saturday’s meltdown was lack of aggressiveness, which Greg Gard outlined as the primary reason for last weekend’s loss. Tonight, however, was the opposite of what happened against Oregon.

Here are three standouts from Wisconsin’s win over Washington:
John Blackwell
You had to know Blackwell would be the first standout, right?
Against Oregon, Blackwell scored six points and had a brutal turnover, which led to Oregon’s game-tying three-point shot near the end of regulation on Saturday.
Tonight, Blackwell was, by far, the best player on the basketball court. The sophomore guard took control of the game with 19 points and six rebounds in the first half. Blackwell finished Tuesday’s game with 24 points and 10 rebounds, his first career double-double.
Xavier Amos
We all know how much Amos loved to shoot from behind the three-point line. On Tuesday, Amos had his best game as a Wisconsin Badger. The Northern Illinois transfer connected on 3-of-4 three-point shots against the Huskies and finished with 12 points, the most he’s scored this year.
Steven Crowl
Crowl had 12 points on five of eight shots for the second straight game and was a force down low throughout the game, with great footwork to finish around the rim.
He was one of the reasons the Badgers outscored the Huskies 42-32 in the paint.
