The Badgers hosted one of the top in-state running backs earlier this summer for a camp/visit.
The Wisconsin Badgers hosted 2026 in-state running back Anthony Liggins on a visit earlier this summer, where he got to camp with the program.
Liggins, a native of Racine, Wisconsin, has a scholarship offer from Central Michigan, and was looking forward to showcasing his skills at the Badgers camp.
“The camp experience was great. I loved the hospitality and the coaching,” Liggins shared. “I was looking to prove that i have a good skill, and that I’ve gotten stronger and better. I was also looking to show that, everything they see on my film translated into the drills we did at camp and also to show what you don’t see on film, like how i take coaching and my character and personality.”
The running back received positive feedback from running backs coach Devon Spalding on his visit, with the message that Wisconsin was going to continue keeping an eye out and showing interest.
It hasn’t been the busiest summer for Liggins due to an injury, but the running back was able to make it out to Wisconsin, Northwestern, and the Under Armour camp back in April. He also was in attendance for the All-American camp back in January.
As of now, Liggins is focused on his junior season, where he hopes to win a state championship, rush for 1,000+ yards, and finish with 2,000+ all-purpose yards.
“Everything was cut short for me last year, due to injury, so I only played 4 games. I want to be able to stay healthy all season and just have a great year.”
