This is going to turn into “hey, what ranked SEC teams are clubbering each other today” every weekend, isn’t it
Today in College Basketball Watching, we’ve got 13 of the 34 games on national television with at least one ranked team involved. Four of those contests have two ranked teams going at it, and three of those four involve the SEC.
We start the day off hot with #4 Alabama on the road against #8 Kentucky, and yep, that is the clear #1 best game of the day. Noon brings us #1 Auburn at #23 Georgia, and as Marquette fans, we clearly want the Bulldogs to come out on top there. We slide over to the Big Ten for the next one, with #17 Purdue going out west to see #13 Oregon, and MU fans will of course side with the Boilermakers there. Finally, we get what has to be the most consequential basketball Egg Bowl in recent memory at 5pm CT today, with #21 Ole Miss visiting their in-state rival, #15 Mississippi State.
In “ranked teams on the road against unranked foes,” we’ve got some quality opportunities for upsets. #10 Houston visits UCF, #24 Wisconsin heads to Los Angeles to face USC, #6 Tennessee get maybe not the full road game experience at Vanderbilt, and the 7pm ESPN game is #3 Duke up north at Boston College.
Just two women’s games on national TV today, both coming in the Big Ten, and both on Big Ten Network. Neither one is a classic B1G matchup, with Rutgers at Michigan and Purdue at Washington, but such is life.
As always, there’s a ton of stuff that’s streaming only. If you catch something that’s interesting or what have you, shout it out in the comments for everyone to watch!
Here’s the full national television schedule for the day, with all times Central, as always.
