We’ve got Day 2 action in the men’s tournament, while the women’s tournament gets the Round of 64 started!
16 teams have been eliminated from the 2025 NCAA men’s basketball tournament.
I feel like we don’t look at Day 1 of the NCAA tournament from that angle too often, instead focusing on OH MY GOD LOOK AT ALL THE BASKETBALL THAT WE CAN WATCH! I’m not saying that we need to hold memorial services for those teams, I’m just pointing out that 24% of the field all got booted out in the same day.
The bigger point? We’re booting out another 24% of the men’s basketball tournament today, and then the women’s tournament is gonna boot 24% of their field out as well today, because today is their Day 1 for the first round. We’ll have the full Round of 32 matchups for the men’s tournament by the end of the day as the best weekend of college basketball of the year keeps on moving no matter if you’re ready for it or not.
