Ben Gold, the 6-foot-10 forward from New Zealand and NBA Global Academy, announced his commitment to Marquette on Monday evening.
Gold ultimately chose the Golden Eagles over Loyola Chicago and Washington State.
“They have a new coaching staff up from Texas and I like the style of play,” he told Rivals in January. “They play up-tempo and shoot, which is how I want to play.”
“I love to watch a lot of Tracy McGrady, Grant Hill, KD, and Michael Porter Jr. — like some of those guys that are like the big guards who can play inside and out,” Gold told ProInsight.
He will join guards Sean Jones and Chase Ross for MU’s 2022 class.
