Tracking the larger sentiments of Bucks fans week by week
For the rest of this month, the Bucks will play seven of their remaining nine games at home and face only one team currently above .500. In this order, their slate of opponents: Toronto tonight, Detroit tomorrow, at Charlotte on Saturday, Houston next Monday, Chicago next Wednesday, Indiana next Friday, Charlotte next Saturday, at Miami on the 26th, and Washington on the 30th. After a tough last two weeks, which featured the Celtics and Cavs twice, the Bucks’ schedule now eases considerably.
Only the Rockets have a winning record at 7-4, and while all those East teams are above the Bucks in the standings, the Pacers are just three games ahead of them. So it’s still early, plus the Eastern Conference has stunk to start the year outside of Cleveland and Boston, but it’s high time for a course correction on this young season. Ideally, Khris Middleton rejoins the team during the early part of this stretch ahead and Damian Lillard’s concussion doesn’t keep him out very long. Gary Trent Jr. is probable tonight, and perhaps two games off will shake his shooting funk, aiding an offense that needs all the scoring it can get.
In this week’s Tuesday Tracker, we take your temperature about the Bucks chances to rebound now that they’re finished with their early season gauntlet. Then we address Andre Jackson Jr. in the starting lineup, which side of the ball is currently more problematic for the Bucks, then broach the question of Doc Rivers’ job security.
As always, this poll will be open until midnight Central on Friday, and we’ll post the results later that day. Thanks for voting!
