Mat Ishbia is “pushing hard” to hire Bob Myers to run the front office of the Phoenix Suns, sources tell the Arizona Republic. Myers was first linked to the Suns on Wednesday by The Stein Line.
Jon Horst is another potential candidate for the Suns. Horst has run the Milwaukee Bucks since 2017. Last offseason, the Detroit Pistons were denied permission to speak with Horst about their president of basketball operations position. The Bucks could undergo significant changes this offseason depending on the outcome of the playoffs.
James Jones is currently on an expiring contract with the Suns, but he could potentially remain with the franchise under a new head of basketball operations.
The Suns plan on trading Kevin Durant this offseason as they hope to “pivot and reload” around Devin Booker.
