Haynes reports that Middleton will also return to action tonight
Amidst a slump to begin the new year, Milwaukee Bucks Head Coach Doc Rivers is making a major change to the team’s starting lineup, as he’s made the decision to remove Khris Middleton:
Sources: Milwaukee Bucks star Khris Middleton is returning for tonight’s game against San Antonio Spurs and will come off the bench as the team tries to find continuity in starting lineup. #haynesbriefs pic.twitter.com/CgKOD5Oo4e

As Haynes mentioned, Doc’s trying to find a level of continuity with the starting group while also respecting Middleton’s minutes management in return from injury.
Middleton was informed of the decision in Toronto, a game in which he sat out. According to Haynes, Taurean Prince will remain in the team’s starting lineup. Haynes is also reporting that Middleton will return to the floor tonight against the San Antonio Spurs.
It remains to be seen as to whether or not this will be a permanent decision. However, as things currently stand, it appears to be based off the minutes restriction and establishing a level of continuity moving forward. Middleton hasn’t necessarily been playing poorly, so it doesn’t seem to be performance-based, according to the reporting.
We’ll keep you posted on anything that develops on this moving forward. Doc Rivers will address this to the media in tonight’s pregame availability, so keep an eye out for additional information in our recaps.
