The deal includes cash as well.
We’re mere hours away from Thursday afternoon’s NBA trade deadline, and it appears Milwaukee Bucks’ GM Jon Horst has made another move, albeit a minor one. Per ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Bucks are sending Milwaukee native and former UWM Panther Patrick Baldwin Jr. and cash to the San Antonio Spurs:
FROM SHAMS:
Milwaukee is trading Patrick Baldwin Jr. and cash to San Antonio, sources tell ESPN.

This deal appears to be more from a financial and roster space perspective for the Bucks rather than one that merits immediate on-the-court results. As per our own Van Fayaz:
There is your cost-cutting move. Milwaukee will now be about $2.8m beneath their hard cap at the second apron, salary is coming back from San Antonio in return. In that case, they now have one spot open and no deadline to fill it.

If you’re wondering who might fill the open spot, look no further than one Ryan Rollins, whose level of play has earned a roster spot and has only nine games of regular-season eligibility remaining on his two-way contract (not to mention no games of playoff eligibility).
That doesn’t mean that more deals aren’t on the horizon, though. The Bucks have a number of guys who could be on the chopping block as Horst and co navigate the murky waters of aprons and the varying contracts that would be available to fill potentially open slots. Time is running out for those deals to happen, though.
Sorry we couldn’t keep you home in Milwaukee, PBJ.
