Giannis Antetokounmpo celebrated a major personal milestone over the weekend.
According to reports, Antetokounmpo and his longtime partner Mariah Riddlesprigger got married in the Milwaukee Bucks superstar’s homeland of Greece.
A reported 200 people, including several of Giannis’ teammates as well as LeBron James, attended the festivities, which included a “Greek Orthodox and Catholic hybrid ceremony.”
“The festivities began Friday with a welcome bash that boasted a “strictly white” dress code, per Proto Thema, followed by a Nigerian-inspired affair on Saturday, a nod to Antetokounmpo’s heritage,” said the New York Post. “The celebrations concluded with the wedding ceremony on day three of the gathering.”
Over the last few days, NBA fans have been lining up on social media to congratulate the happy couple.
“Happy married life @Giannis_An34,” one fan said.
“Giannis finally married his girl hallelujah,” another added.
“Congratulations to @Giannis_An34 and Mariah who reportedly got married this weekend!” wrote Milwaukee news anchor Mallory Anderson.
“Big fella got married. You love to see it. #Giannis,” another commenter wrote.
“Shoutout to Giannis/Mariah and the Antetokounmpo family on getting married,” a fifth person chimed in.
Giannis and Riddlesprigger have been together for nearly a decade and share three children together: sons Liam and Maverick and a daughter Eva.
