All the freaks come out at noon
The Milwaukee Bucks take on the Detroit Pistons in a noon game to conclude the regular season. A win would give them a 4-0 season sweep, but we’ll see about that…
Where We’re At
The Bucks are experiencing all of the revelry you’d expect a seven-game win streak would bring, except for the facts that it occurred against mostly mediocre competition, only secured the five seed (which is something!), and will likely come crashing down today. Milwaukee are wisely resting a lot of folks, which means that those in attendance today are there for a treat: deep bench minutes! Pick your favorite and fight for the death for their continued relevance in the association; I’ve made my allegiance clear below.
Meanwhile, Detroit are putting the touches on an excellent season relative to expectations. They’ll be going into New York (after beating them three days ago) with the dangerous quality of playing with house money. But today is one last opportunity for “competitive” minutes to try things out, and they have elected to run with more of their squad intact. Hopefully that makes for less aggravating content for the good people tuning in to ESPN.
Injury Report
It’s a bit silly, so here’s the summary: Dame, Brook, Bobby, and Jericho are out; Giannis, AJG, KPJ, TP, and GTJ are doubtful; Kuz and RR are probable. Read into those tea leaves as you wish.
For Detroit, Jaden Ivey (left fibula fracture), Isaiah Stewart (right knee inflammation), and Ausar Thompson (left knee patellar tendinopathy) are out, but Cade Cunningham (left knee patellar tendinopathy) is probable.
