The Bucks and Bulls lock horns for the second time in five nights
The Milwaukee Bucks and Chicago Bulls will end their season series tonight in late December, with the final game coming less than a week after their previous matchup. The series currently sits at 2-1, Milwaukee’s way. The Bucks, somewhat surprisingly, won last week’s game comfortably with no Giannis or Dame. Having said that, they also benefited from some really bad shooting from the Bulls.
Where We’re At
As was mentioned in the intro, the Bucks got a win on Monday against the Bulls, which came after a get-right victory against the Wizards. Unfortunately, a fourth-quarter meltdown against the Nets two nights ago broke their two-game winning streak. Brooklyn’s physicality, and Milwaukee’s bevy of brain-fades, caused the Bucks to drop a very winnable one. It certainly didn’t help that none of these games featured Dame or Giannis, to be sure.
If it makes Milwaukee fans feel any better, the Bulls have dropped three straight against the Celtics, Bucks, and Hawks. Chicago relinquished a 124-107 lead with 6:23 remaining in the fourth quarter to drop their most recent game in Atlanta, giving up 50 points in the period to lose 141-133. Suffice to say, both teams are champing at the bit to get the bad taste out of their mouth.
Injury Report
The Bucks injury report is similar to last game. Giannis and Dame both remain listed as questionable (illness). Andre Jackson Jr is probable (right ankle sprain), as is Khris Middleton (bilateral ankle surgery). AJ Johnson is out (illness).
For the Bulls, Lonzo Ball and Matas Buzelis are both listed as questionable (illness). Josh Giddey is also questionable (right ankle sprain), and Ayo Dosunmu is doubtful (right soleus strain).
Player To Watch
Alert! We have a (former Buck) Jevon Carter sighting in Chicago! After a mostly forgetful few years riding the pine for the Bulls since signing there as a free agent, Carter exploded in Atlanta for a season-high 26 points, 19 of which were scored in the first quarter! With Dosunmu doubtful, Carter is likely to get more minutes tonight.
