Central Division battle in Milwaukee
The Milwaukee Bucks continue their preseason tuneup as they take on the Chicago Bulls, their division foe. The Bucks hope to earn their first preseason victory of the season.
Where We’re At
Two games down, and the Bucks sadly have not tasted Victory. It was encouraging to see Bobby Portis have a strong offensive night against the Lakers, and AJ Johnson stood out among the young Bucks. The hope now is that we can see the main rotation players look cohesive and get through these final two games injury-free.
The Bulls are just not in a good spot. It reminds me very much of the early 2010s Bucks teams. Not even close to making any postseason run, but also not terrible enough to even hope for a good lottery pick. The team is the definition of mid, and having Zach LaVine’s empty stat padding probably kills the will to cheer for Bulls fans. The Bulls are 1-1 in preseason, beating the Cleveland Cavaliers in their first game before losing to the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday night.
Injury Report
Khris Middleton is recovering from his ankle surgery over the summer and likely will not play tonight, but he could be back by the end of preseason.
For the Bulls, Ayo Dosunmu, Coby White, Patrick Williams, and Jalen Smith are questionable.
Player To Watch
MarJon Beauchamp was simply fine in the last game against the Lakers. I have already given up on Beauchamp being a positive contributor for this team, but with Khris Middleton recovering and Doc Rivers giving everyone a look during preseason, this really does feel like MarJon’s last chance at proving his case.
How To Watch
Bally Sports WI or NBATV at 7:00 PM CDT.
Editor’s note: as usual, there are no game threads in the preseason. This post functions both as the game preview and thread.
