Mallory Edens, the daughter of Milwaukee Bucks owner Wes Edens, was amped up about the franchise taking down the Oklahoma City Thunder to win the 2024 NBA Cup.
The Bucks jumped all over the Thunder in the second half of Tuesday night’s game, as Giannis Antetokounmpo led the charge with 26 points, 19 rebounds and 10 assists. Damian Lillard also played well in the NBA Cup Final, dropping 23 points and dishing out four assists. To the surprise of absolutely no one, Antetokounmpo was named NBA Cup MVP. That’s another achievement he can add to his already loaded résumé.
A few hours after the Bucks defeated the Thunder in Las Vegas, Edens posted a photo of her holding up the trophy on her Instagram Story.
Edens, 28, decided to go without a caption for this post. That was probably a wise choice considering the photo tell a whole story by itself.
Edens is no stranger to the spotlight. Last year, it was reported that she was dating New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Some outlets have said they broke up, but neither party have commented on their relationship status.
For what it’s worth, Rodgers recently opened up about his relationships being in the public eye.
“I didn’t do myself any favors with some of the girls I dated after that that were in the public eye,” Rodgers said. “I definitely hated it at first — like, really despised it. I enjoyed my private life. I enjoyed being able to go places. But from Super Bowl MVP, MVP, State Farm commercials, that got a little bit more difficult.”
While Edens celebrates the Bucks’ latest accomplishment, Antetokounmpo and the rest of the squad have already turned their attention over to their upcoming opponent.
“We have just got to stay humble, keep on improving,” Antetokounmpo told reporters. “We have a lot of basketball in front of us. We play Cleveland on Friday. Very, very good team. They are going to be waiting for us. Right now, the emotion is at an all-time high. We have to bring it down, be humble. Once we leave here tomorrow, go back to the gym, lock in, and hopefully we can go and get a win against the Cavs.”
Maybe this run in the NBA Cup will give the Bucks the confidence they need to go out and win the Eastern Conference.
