The sensational Bucks broadcast duo chat about the rough start
Last week on Hear District, friend-of-the-site Lisa Byington dropped by Johnson-land for a wide-ranging episode no. 38 of the pod. Come for the hilarious anecdote about Marques’ expressive arm motions in the broadcast booth, and stay for his mime impression!
More seriously, though, the trio has some real talk about the team’s search for an identity while dealing with Khris Middleton’s early-season absence. Also included is a prescient conversation about Andre Jackson Jr.’s impact thus far—mere days before he joined the starting lineup against Utah last week—and the Bucks’ early-season bench woes. Finally, some fun stories about basketball rites of passage between family members and the WNBA in the wake of Milwaukee’s possible bid for a franchise.
Also, Lisa sticks around with Marques and Kris for their terrific “About That Action” segment, breaking down some good-looking plays early in the Memphis game the other week, highlighting ball movement, then Giannis’ two-man game with Dame and AJax, focusing on screening. Spacing, which has been an issue in games over the last week, looked better in some of this footage, and I’m not sure where it’s gone since this footage was taken.
