Giannis Antetokounmpo did not practice on Tuesday and is listed as doubtful for Game 2 against the Miami Heat due to a lower back contusion.
Mike Budenholzer said that Antetokounmpo continues to make progress on the injury.
“He’ll get treatment, we’ll see how he feels. There’s been a lot of progress and hopefully there’s more in the next day or so,” said Budenholzer.
Budenholzer was also encouraged by the fact that there was no structural damage in Antetokounmpo’s back.
“There’s an optimism. Time is a little bit on our side, but that equation will flip. But yeah, I would say we’re optimistic,” added Budenholzer.
