If Greece qualifies for EuroBasket 2025, they’ll have a familiar face joining the roster. Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo said that he’ll play for his national team, should Greece make it through the qualifiers to the EuroBasket tournament next summer.
When Antetokounmpo was asked if he saw that Greece lost to Great Britain in a qualifying game, he said that he knew of the result. The Bucks forward said he believes that Greece will turn it around and qualify and that he’s excited to see everyone next summer.
“Not to be with them, see them and play with them again!” Antetokounmpo said about joining up with Greece for Eurobasket.
Antetokounmpo played in seven games for Greece last summer, including the Olympics and the Olympic Qualifying Tournament. He previously played for Greece in the 2015 and 2022 EuroBasket tournaments.
