3rd travel of the 2nd half for Giannis, all on basically the same play. – 9:17 PM

Bucks were totally ready for Magic 2-2-1 press. Got it to Giannis in the middle and it’s a 4 on 3 to get Green a simple corner 3. – 9:06 PM

Bucks 20/29 FGs in the paint and 6/9 FGs on non-paint twos. That’s basically the game. Magic’s defense mostly solid; Giannis and Portis just making baskets. And then the Magic’s own offense is a mess, made worse by their inability to pick apart the zone. – 8:49 PM

With Bitadze and Carter both on 3 fouls, it’s Mo Wagner on the floor for a defense-only possession and he doesn’t have the verticality to stop the oop to Giannis. Probably should have gone back to Carter–what difference if he gets his 4th with 24:02 or 23:58 left in the game? – 8:06 PM

Giannis used to be a great rim protector because he challenged every shot and didn’t mind getting dunked on. Now, he doesn’t even jump and gets dunked on. – 8:00 PM

Is Giannis playing his best basketball in the league right now, and who would be your pick for MVP? BOBBY PORTIS: Um, I think this is the best he’s been since I’ve been on the team. This is my fifth season now playing with him. I’ve played, I’d say, over a thousand games—or at least I’ve been in Milwaukee over a thousand days now. So, it’s kind of crazy to see his game evolve. When I first got here, he wasn’t shooting as many jumpers, mid-ranges, and things like that. But when you work on your game, when you put the time and effort into your craft, you start to see the development of your skill set. I think it’s been kind of cool to see him develop into this mid-range assassin type of player. And we all always knew he could get to the basket at will and do those things, but it’s been amazing to see his game go to another level. -via YouTube / December 9, 2024
