Brew Hoop’s resident Aussie steps into the podcast studio
It is a rare and exciting event when we get to debut a brand new Brew Hoop staffer over on Deer Diaries (A Milwaukee Bucks Podcast!), so imagine our excitement when we were able to wrangle time with our latest debutant, Jack Trehearne!
Jack brings much-needed southern hemispheric flavor to the site’s official commentariat, and we’d highly encourage you read his introductory post to get to know him! On his first podcast appearance ever (!!!) we ran through his history with the game and the Bucks in particular before finding out that he is a true Stanley Umude Believer.
Then it was on to the standard set of Season Preview Series questions to help set the table on the season ahead. Can Umude truly make a difference when it matters most? Will a slightly uneven roster build ultimately prove Milwaukee’s undoing? Does Jack have a personal AJ Johnson scouting report from Johnson’s days in Illawarra?
All that, plus the first edition of what should be a very promising new Miscellaneous Segment: Tales from Basketball’s Outback where Jack gives us some insight on the latest and greatest goings-on in Australian basketball and the NBL in particular.
Obligatory, “go Adelaide 36ers!”
