1-2 start has our podcast hosts conflicted!
The Milwaukee Bucks have taken their first tentative steps towards an eventual title bid in 2025, and the original trio of Deer Diaries (A Milwaukee Bucks Podcast!) hosts got together to break it down.
What exactly did Kyle, Adam, and Riley learn this week? First, that the defense remains a work-in-progress at best. Signs of individual improvements over a season ago are helpful, but the overall body of work remains suspect. We also learned that there are pieces in place for a better offensive vision if the team can find the wherewithal to pursue and execute on them more consistently. And finally, that the haters and pessimists are looking pretty good right now—albeit a mere three games in.
We chatted about all that plus a temperature check on how concerned we are with the lackluster start, Kyle makes his first pronouncement on whether he is officially on #DocWatch, can Khris Middleton save the season (again), and a smaller discussion about the Damian Lillard-Giannis Antetokounmpo fit 1.04 seasons in. At what point does concern turn into full-blown panic? We may find out this very year!
Of course, it wouldn’t be Deer Diaries (A Milwaukee Bucks Podcast!) if we didn’t have our rapid fire questions, the return of Fountain Pens with Friends featuring Robert Oster’s Sydney Darling Harbor ink, and weekly predictions!
