We draft our thoughts about the Milwaukee Bucks draft haul
With the fast and furious pace of the NBA Draft process now at a conclusion, the Milwaukee Bucks have their first new blood of the 2024 offseason. AJ Johnson and Tyler Smith aren’t the kinds of picks you’d expect a team hoping to win a title in the next two seasons to make, but are they the more intriguing for that?
I was joined by Kyle last night to talk through that and our reactions to the selections as they happened. Kyle represented the reasonable reaction of “what the eff are we doing here?” while I took the “I can see the vision if I squint so hard that my eyes are virtually closed” stance. The truth, as usual, likely lies somewhere in between. We chat the possibility of one or both draftees seeing an NBA floor this coming season, concerns around Bucks-Herd coordination, and a little Summer League primer.
All that, plus Rapid Fire questions and another entry in Kyle’s Zac Efron filmography retrospective: A Family Affair (2024).
