The Cleveland Cavaliers have hired DeMarre Carroll as an assistant coach under Kenny Atkinson. Carroll was an assistant coach with the Milwaukee Bucks in 22-23 under Mike Budenholzer and the Los Angeles Lakers in 23-24 under Darvin Ham.
Carroll spent 11 seasons in the NBA until his retirement in 2020. Atkinson was an assistant coach during Carroll’s time with the Hawks, and then as a head coach during their overlapping time with the Brooklyn Nets. Carroll was a teammate of Jarrett Allen and Caris LeVert with the Nets.
