It appears the majority of fans do not like the Kuzma-Middleton trade.
In this week’s Tuesday Tracker, we asked you about the Middleton-for-Kuzma trade rumors, a day after that deal actually occurred. We also revisited trade targets Jimmy Butler and Zach LaVine, who of course went elsewhere, plus a plan for the Bucks that were out of the rotation. Here are the highlights:
- There was 52-48 split in our “electorate” about trading Middleton for Kuzma. The majority wouldn’t do it, a quarter would, and 22% would if no picks or other Bucks were involved, which is what came to pass.
- A clearer 70% wouldn’t have paid the necessary price in outgoing player salary to acquire Jimmy Butler.
- Most voters (77%) recognize that the Bucks likely or definitely could not have traded for Zach LaVine, at least not without including their 2031 first-round pick, which previous polls indicated fans were firmly against trading for LaVine.
- A similar 52-48 split are in favor of holding onto Pat Connaughton through the deadline and trying to trade him this summer.
- Jon Horst and Doc Rivers saw their approval ratings fall upwards of 20% in the wake of the Bucks’ five-of-six skid, with essentially the same rise in their disapprovals.
Thanks again for voting! Check back on Tuesday for another slate of questions.
