Most fans do not want to trade for Jimmy Butler.
In this week’s Tuesday Tracker, we asked you about the Bucks’ rumored interest in Jimmy Butler and whether trading for him is even a good idea. We also talked about if the potential price of doing so is even palatable and checked in on the starting backcourt. Here are the highlights:
- Of 767 respondents, 62% do not want the Bucks to trade for Jimmy Butler. Of the 38% who do, just over half prefer a package that focuses on Khris Middleton and Bobby Portis.
- About two-thirds of fans polled think that replacing either Damian Lillard or Middleton with Butler does not make the Bucks a bigger title threat.
- When asked if they’d trade the Bucks’ 2031 first-round pick—currently their only tradeable future first—for Butler, 73% of respondents said no.
- 72% of fans surveyed want the Bucks to retain Brook Lopez through the deadline, even though his contract expires this offseason.
- In the wake of Milwaukee’s 1-4 stretch against sub-.500 teams, Doc Rivers’ approval rating took a step back to 31%, tied with his disapproval rating. A plurality still approves of GM Jon Horst.
