Brook Lopez missed Thursday’s loss to the Indiana Pacers with a sprained left ankle. Lopez was injured in the Bucks win over the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday.
Milwaukee head coach Mike Budenholzer said “We’re hopeful that it’s not anything serious” when asked about Lopez. No indication has been given if the veteran center’s absence would extend past Thursday’s game.
This season, Lopez has been one of the Bucks best players. He’s averaged 15.5 points on 52/38/76 shooting splits. Lopez has also grabbed 6.7 rebounds and blocked 2.5 shots per game. Lopez’s performance on the defensive end of the floor has him as one of the leading candidates for Defensive Player of the Year.
