Quintana takes the mound for second spring appearance
The Brewers and Athletics will battle today as Jose Quintana makes his second appearance this spring.
Quintana pitched two innings in his last inning, so today will be another chance to stretch out before the season begins. Other pitchers slated to pitch include Chad Patrick, Jared Koenig, and Joel Payamps.
Vinny Capra will play third base and feature in the leadoff spot for today’s game. His spring has been impressive, totaling a 1.155 OPS.
Around the horn, he’ll be joined by Joey Ortiz, Andruw Monasterio, and Rhys Hoskins. Eric Haase will be behind the dish.
The outfield will take on an unusual configuration for this matchup. Isaac Collins will start in left field with Jared Oliva in center field. In right field, Jake Bauers takes the starting spot, slotting in at cleanup.
