Civale set to make his second start of the spring
The Milwaukee Brewers are set to take on the Kansas City Royals on Sunday afternoon as Aaron Civale makes his second appearance of the spring.
In his first start, Civale went 1 2⁄3 innings in a bumpy outing. He walked three batters and gave up two hits, but only one run. That’s not much to worry about in just a spring training game, but it will be interesting to follow Civale as he figures to be a key arm in the Milwaukee rotation after arriving partway through last season.
Sal Frelick takes the leadoff spot as well as center field today. He’ll be joined in the outfield by Manuel Margot and Jake Bauers. Mark Canha will work as the designated hitter.
In the infield, Oliver Dunn will take the hot corner. Raynel Delgado will be at shortstop with Vinny Capra at second base. Tyler Black will be at first base as he looks to find a groove here early in spring training. Eric Haase will form the battery behind the dish with Civale.
First pitch is at 3:05 p.m. in Surprise, Arizona. The game is televised on FanDuel Sports Wisconsin and also available on the Brewers Radio Network. It will be available out-of-market on MLB Network.
