This is Arnold’s third such award this season, following awards from The Sporting News and MLB
Milwaukee Brewers Senior Vice President and General Manager Matt Arnold was named Baseball America’s 2024 MLB Executive of the Year, according to a press release from the team Tuesday afternoon.
Arnold, who was previously named Executive of the Year by The Sporting News on Oct. 25 and by MLB on Nov. 4, helped build the roster that led Milwaukee to the postseason for the sixth time in seven years in 2024.
Despite being picked to finish near the bottom of the division by most publications (including this one), the Brewers finished 2024 with a 93-69 record, good for first place in the NL Central and in a tie for the fourth-best record in baseball, behind the Dodgers, Phillies, and Yankees, and tied with the Padres.
Arnold, who has been with the team since the 2015-16 offseason, was promoted as the 10th general manager in franchise history during the 2020-21 offseason before being named Senior VP/GM two years ago as David Stearns prepared to leave for the New York Mets.
