Hi Brewers fans! I am excited to be joining Brew Crew Ball ahead of the 2025 season. I recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I earned a BA in political science and an MA in public affairs. I am originally from Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin (the hometown of Craig Counsell), where I played and eventually coached for the Whitefish Bay High School baseball team. My walk-up song in high school was “Your Love” by The Outfield, inspired not by Charlie Blackmon (as you might assume), but rather by Brewers’ legend Frank Catalanotto.
I am a lifelong Brewers fan, former leader of the Richie Sexson fan club, and I beat Corey Hart in a race in the Miller Park kids’ zone when I was 11 (if you know, you know). I am excited to bring you content focused on the Brewers’ farm system, keeping you updated on the organization’s most exciting prospects and the success of the minor league ball clubs. Here’s hoping that 2025 is the year we eat the whole apple!

Hey, everyone! My name is Adam, I’m super excited to join Brew Crew Ball for the upcoming season. I was born and raised in Santa Rosa, California and just graduated from Occidental College in Los Angeles with a major in international relations and public policy.
Now, you might be asking: how in the world is this guy (from California, nonetheless) qualified to write about the Brewers? That’s definitely a reasonable question, as absolutely nothing I’ve done in my professional life has anything to do with baseball or the Brewers. The reason for my Brewers fandom is my father, a hardcore Brewers fan born and raised in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. He probably would have disowned my brother and I if we chose to root for another team.
The first baseball game I ever attended was Brewers-Pirates in Milwaukee. When Rickie Weeks hit a walk-off single to win the game, the crowd at Miller Park erupted, and with it my passion for the Brewers was born. That game showed me what the next thirteen-odd years of Brewers fandom have reinforced — that Milwaukee baseball has singularly passionate and dedicated fans. I quickly became one of them, developing the same passion for reviewing box scores, analyzing obscure advanced statistics, and watching the Brewers as I did for playing the game itself. I played baseball up until my freshman year of college, and throughout my life have definitely dedicated more of my life to baseball than I have to studying (apologies to my professors).
I look forward to covering this upcoming season and the inevitable ups and downs that come with having a young, talented major league roster and farm system. There’s no other fanbase, no other team I’d want to write for. If you have any questions, comments, concerns, or just want to talk Brewers baseball, my email is adamdzimmer@gmail.com.
Oh, and my favorite Brewer of all time is between Nori Aoki and Nyjer Morgan — can’t pick just one. #TonyPlushHOF
