The rubber match is on deck for this afternoon in Milwaukee.
After the first two games of the series, the Brewers and Pirates have each taken one. They’ve traded off blowouts, with the Pirates taking Monday’s game and the Brewers taking yesterday’s game. The rubber match is set for this afternoon, as these teams will face off for the last time until late September.
Up for the Brewers is Aaron Civale, who will be making his second start in a Brewers uniform. In his first start with the team, he allowed four runs in five innings. He has made a start against the Pirates this season: While with the Rays on June 23, he allowed one run in five innings. It will be a tough task for the Brewers today as they will face Paul Skenes for the first time.
Here are the lineups for this afternoon. First pitch is at 1:10 p.m, and it will be on Bally Sports Wisconsin and the Brewers Radio Network.
