Brewers look to bounce back in Los Angeles in series of two of the top NL teams
The Brewers had a rough series finale in Denver on Thursday evening, splitting the four-game set with the Rockies. They’ll now look to bounce back with a strong series against the Dodgers in Los Angeles, a team that is just one game ahead of them for the No. 2 seed in the NL, which comes with a first-round bye in the playoffs.
Milwaukee will rely on Aaron Civale in his first start for the team after being acquired from the Rays earlier this week. The Dodgers will counter with Tyler Glasnow, another former Ray who is having a solid first season in L.A, pitching to a 3.23 ERA and 8-5 record across 17 starts while striking out 136 in 103 innings of work.
Brice Turang is in the leadoff spot with William Contreras back behind the plate after starting as the DH yesterday. Christian Yelich is the DH, with Jackson Chourio, Garrett Mitchell, and Sal Frelick making up the outfield from left to right. Rhys Hoskins is at first, Andruw Monasterio is at third, and Willy Adames is in his usual place at shortstop.
First pitch is at 9:10 p.m. on Bally Sports Wisconsin, MLB Network for out-of-market viewers, and the Brewers Radio Network.
