Brewers welcome Reds to town to begin four-game set
Coming off a thrilling extra-innings victory over the Royals Wednesday afternoon, the Milwaukee Brewers will look to keep things going against the Cincinnati Reds as they welcome their NL Central foes to American Family Field for a four-game series.
The Reds, coming off back-to-back 1-0 losses to the Rangers, haven’t scored in 19-plus innings and are looking to snap that streak against Nestor Cortes, who got roughed up (that may be an understatement) in his return to Yankee Stadium on Saturday. On the other side, Nick Lodolo gets the start for Cincinnati.
Jackson Chourio returns to the top of the lineup after a 3-for-5 day yesterday, including his first homer of the season. Christian Yelich bats second as the DH, with William Contreras and Rhys Hoskins rounding out the top four of the order. Sal Frelick is in center with Isaac Collins in left as Garrett Mitchell gets the day off against a lefty. Vinny Capra, Joey Ortiz, and Brice Turang round out the infield.
First pitch is at 6:40 p.m. on FanDuel Sports Network Wisconsin and the Brewers Radio Network.
