Brewers commence final week with divisional fight
As the Brewers gear up for the postseason, they begin the final week of the regular season against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Jackson Chourio will set the pace for the night, taking his usual spot as the leadoff hitter. He will be joined in the outfield by Blake Perkins and Sal Frelick.
In the infield, Joey Ortiz, Willy Adames, Brice Turang, and Rhys Hoskins will be tasked with backing up tonight’s starter, Tobias Myers. With William Contreras set to start at catcher, Gary Sánchez is tonight’s designated hitter.
Myers has had some strange performance with some unearned runs over the past month or so, but since August 15, he still has a 3.72 ERA. The last time he pitched against Pittsburgh, back on July 10, he pitched eight shutout innings. A replica from that performance would certainly do for tonight’s matchup.
First pitch is set for 1:10 p.m. on Bally Sports Wisconsin and the Brewers Radio Network.
