Brewers look to pick up another series win against the Redbirds
After an offensive barrage in the series opener on Labor Day, the Brewers are looking for another series victory at home as they take on the St. Louis Cardinals in game two of the three-game set Tuesday evening.
Aaron Civale gets the start for the Crew, coming off one of his best outings since joining Milwaukee in early July. He went seven scoreless frames in a win over the Giants on Thursday afternoon, allowing just two hits and two walks with seven strikeouts on 92 pitches. He’ll look to keep it rolling against St. Louis tonight.
On offense, Jackson Chourio moves back into the leadoff spot, followed by Blake Perkins in the two-hole. William Contreras bats third while Gary Sánchez is the DH and bats fourth. Willy Adames is in his usual five spot, followed by Brewer Hicklen, Rhys Hoskins, Joey Ortiz, and Brice Turang in a righty-heavy lineup against the lefty Steven Matz.
First pitch is at 6:40 p.m. on Bally Sports Wisconsin and the Brewers Radio Network.
