Players’ Weekend continues with game two against the Guardians
Riding a three-game winning streak, the Brewers are looking for a series win in game two of their series against the Guardians.
Freddy Peralta gets the start tonight, and he’s looking to bounce back from his recent struggles. His ERA has increased from 3.88 to 4.11 and his FIP from 3.58 to 4.13 in his last four starts. He’s had eight quality starts this season, with only five of those coming after April. Meanwhile, Tanner Bibee has had more recent success. He hasn’t allowed more than two runs in his last four starts.
Gary Sanchez gets the start at catcher tonight as William Contreras gets a day at DH. Jake Bauers also starts tonight as Rhys Hoskins gets the day off. Otherwise, the Brewers are using most of the same lineup as yesterday.
Tonight’s game is a national broadcast on FOX, but it’s the secondary broadcast. It’s only available in certain markets, mostly the northern Midwest and the state of Ohio. It’s also on the Brewers Radio Network, as usual. First pitch is at 6:15 p.m.
No plans on slowing down
